Bringing the new baby home.

Bryson arrived at his new home on Mon. October 22. Breast feeding was a real challenge in the first few days and we were getting pretty worn out with sleep deprivation. After two days on our own we realized we needed help. My mom was anxious to meet her new grandchild and offered to come out and help for a week. She arrived on thursday and it was like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders, it was wonderful to have another set of hands to help. Ken and I were able to catch up on our sleep and grandma got to care for her new grandchild. My sister Jess came up from CA to help on Friday as well and stayed for a long weekend. Bryson is a wonderful baby! Often he sleeps for 3 hours at a time and is only fussy a few times a day. His first MD visit was on Wed. the 24th and he had already gained weight from his birth-weight. My mom will be leaving on the 31st and Ken goes back to work on Nov. 2nd , so I'll be on my own soon! I'm a little nervous, but I think I can handle it. Breast feeding has gotten much easier and I'm getting to know his needs a little better now. He's even started sucking his thumb!

Bryson Scott Zimmerman was born on October 18th, 2007 at 7:23 PM by ceserean section. We went in to the hospital in the morning for a fetal non-stress test and amniotic fluid check due to being a week overdue and they discovered the baby was breech. They recommended a c-section within 24hrs due to a low level of amniotic fluid. I had planned on having a natural birth and this news was quite a shock to me, I was terribly disappointed. We only had a few hours to digest this news and notify our family and friends and we returned to the hospital at 5:00 pm. The surgery began at 7:00 and Bryson was born with his feet up by his ears at 7:23. He had the cutest frog legs for about a week!

The Zimmermans

9 months pregnant!

I'm just trying out this new blog, I think it's easier to use than my other site.

This is our dog Keb, he is super spoiled! I hope he adjusts well to the new baby.
